Mailbox Restore from Archive
Somebody deleted a folder, emptied a mailbox, or needs mail from a date range that is no longer on the live platform. We find it in the archive and put it back — into the original mailbox, or into a separate folder beside it so nothing still there is overwritten. Charged per restore, not per message.
What you get
- A search of the archive with you, agreeing exactly what is being recovered before anything is written
- Restoration of a mailbox, a folder or a date range into the live mailbox
- Recovery into a separate folder by default, so a restore cannot overwrite mail that survived
- A written list of what was restored, and of anything we could not find
What this does not cover
- Mail that was never archived. The archive holds what passed through it while Compliance Email Archiving was active on that mailbox — if archiving was off there is nothing to restore, and this is the wrong purchase.
- Recovery from the mail platform's own trash or recoverable-items folder, which you can usually do yourself in a few clicks and should try first
- Moving mail between platforms in bulk — that is Email Platform Migration
Who it fits
A specific, known loss on a mailbox that was being archived at the time. If archiving was not running, nothing here will help, and no service in this list can recover that mail after the fact.
